SPRING/ SUMMER 2023

BOTTLE ALLEY ART MARKET

Following Wavelength’s reinstatement we implimented an idea we’d had for a number of years in Bottle Alley, an Art Market. BAAM was a resounding success with more to come… 60 artists showed and sold work while 8, 000 people walked the length of the alley during the 8 hours of the event. More info here…

WAVELENGTH 2023

Over the next 2 years we’ll be instigating a number of interventions in Bottle Alley, a 480m under prom walkway that bridges the towns of Hastings and St.Leonards On Sea on the East Sussex coast. Bottle Alley is a space we’ve revisited creatively a number of times over the last 8 years in attempt to bring life back into this nearly 100 year public space which became a no-go area for a lot of the local community due to neglect and deterioration.
Firstly we are re-instating our installation ‘Wavelength’ which consists of 2 colour gradients – one east the west the second west to east – over the 110 coloumns which line the south side of the alley. For this revitilisation of the work, post covid, we did a shout out for volunteers to come and help us paint the coloumns and sign up to be on call to take part in paint days to maintain the works vitality, so far we’ve amassedover 270 volunteers, more info here
