Commissioned 09/19 by Coastal Currents, for the Hastings based Art Festival’s continued beautification of the town centre. Festival organiser Tina Morris spent two years gaining permission for six BT junction boxes to be used as a canvas by local artists. We continued our theme of moths around the town but in colour for the first time. The geometrically patterned icon was created using stencils and masking tape and was finished with a layer of glitter and lacquered for longevity. The folklore inspired moth is positioned in Trinity St, Hastings, outside a church and opposite an office we previously occupied, in the town’s America Ground.
