REFLECTIVE STRUCTURES

These modular structures are constructed from humble yet charged materials – bamboo poles & reflective elements: adhesive tape and fabric. There is freedom in their adaptability allowing for site specific spontaneity. Audiences are encouraged to approach, explore, and activate the works with light -discovering layers of detail, subtle colour shifts and unique perspectives for the viewer.

These site specific artworks mark the next chapter in our practice – a return to sculpture, installation and environment making rooted in our early practice, alongside an exploration of reflective materials and visual languages traditionally used for visibility, control, warning and alertness. Here, these elements are reimagined as forms that explore scale, play and nuance. 

The structures follow the threads of our work concerning the environment, a sense of place and shifting perspectives on location and a viewers place and experience within it.
