GATHERING STORMS

Installation at Electro Studio Project Space in St.Leonards On Sea for the curated exhibition ‘Unsafe’, 21 – 23 March 2025. The curation team who put the exhibition together,  Un:Finished Curation, are a collective of students on the local Fine Art, BA Hons degree.

The title of the exhibition was also the theme and our response, ‘Gathering Storms’, featured black kites made from Shark Tooth gauze and fabric remnants which had found footage of moving clouds mapped on to them. The work is a meditation on freedoms and lives that have been lost to war.

The installation was presented in a darkened room with the kites hung from the ceiling at above head height, with trails that touched the floor.

Like all our current projects this is a first iteration with further development forthcoming.
