LIGHTPOOL FESTIVAL, BLACKPOOL

In October ’24 we were commissoned by Blackpool’s annual Lightpool Festival to host a series of workshops and to create a bespoke Eclipse App that was advertised at street level,  by way of a shop window graphic, for maximum availability and live for the duration of the week long festival which coincides with the world famous Blackpool Illuminations.
We held workshops at ‘Wash Your Words‘, a brilliant project space run by Leftcoast which incorporates a launderette and community library on the Langdale estate in Blackpool and with year 7 students, with special educational needs, from Park Community Academy.

The project engages creativity in all ages in an easy, accessible and engaging way with a process that sees the participants creations come to life in Augmented Reality almost instantly.

The Lightpool Eclipse had over 2,500 interactions during the course of the festival.
